Prayer for Police and First Responders

Lord, I lift up the men and women who answer the call: police officers, firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers, and everyone who shows up on someone's worst day.

Protect them on every shift. Guard their bodies, and guard their minds from what they see. Give them sound judgment in split seconds, courage in danger, and compassion for the people they serve.

Bring them home safe. Strengthen their marriages and bless their kids. Where there is trauma they don't talk about, bring healing and send them people they can trust.

Comfort the families of those who were hurt or lost in the line of duty. Help our communities honor and support the people who protect them.

Blessed are the peacemakers. Make them that, and keep them close to You. In Jesus' name, amen.
