Prayer for Families

Father, I bring You my family. You know each one by name, what they carry, and what they don't say out loud.

Protect us. Guard our home, our marriages, our kids, and our parents. Where there is distance between us, close it. Where there are old wounds, heal them. Make our home a place where people are safe to be honest.

Unless You build the house, we labor in vain. So build it, Lord. Teach us to forgive quickly, listen first, and love when it costs something.

I also pray for families who give up their time for the rest of us: the families of legislators, police officers, soldiers, and first responders. Bless their missed dinners and long nights. Hold them together. In Jesus' name, amen.
